Uploading your data
In Scrap Dragon, open the User Menu and select Export – ALEA. Enter a folder and file name of your choosing for the output file. The file name must contain the extension .JSON. Enter your Recycler ID and Location ID. Enter the dates to export and click OK.
Once the file is created, you can upload it using the Transaction Upload option on the ALEA site at https://scrap.alabama.gov. If there are error messages generated when you choose the file or submit it, then you will have to correct the data and try again. These are usually for missing or invalid data. Please call the help desk if you need help with correcting your data or uploading a file. If you have any vehicle body types that don't conform to the ALEA acceptable list, then they will be reported as 'Unknown'.
