How to test the License Server

How to test the License Server

If you get an error message that indicates no response from the license server when running SDCHKLICENSE, SYSCOMP or just logging into SCRAP DRAGON.  Then you may need to test the connectivity to the license server.  You can try updating the license from another station.

Test 1. Enter this line in a browser window:

http://license.scrap-dragon.com:1129/HostDevServer/ScrapDragonLicenseService.svc?wsdl

You should see some XML or a screen that indicates the description of the web service.

Test 2. At a command prompt, enter this line:

svcutil.exe http://license.scrap-dragon.com:1129/HostDevServer/ScrapDragonLicenseService.svc?wsdl

You should get a message that the client was created or an error message that will help diagnose the issue.
