Texas Catalytic Converter coding process - T.O.M. Format 2.0

Texas now requires that all catalytic converters that are not purchased as part of a vehicle be assigned a CCID code that is permanently marked onto the converter.  This code must also be entered into SDX in the Serial Number field which can be found in the Buy module by pressing edit details.  The CCID code is a 13 digit number that consists of 3 parts:
  1. The 3 digit MLID (location code of the yard) - this can be obtained from your T.O.M. registration
  2. The 6 digit Month and Year, formatted as MMYYYY
  3. Any 4 digit number that uniquely identifies the converter.  If you are buying fewer than 100 converters per day, you might make the first 2 digits the day of the month and the next 2 digits a sequential count of the converters purchased on that day.
In SDX, you will need to edit the export template to include the serial number field.  The instructions are in the attached document.
The notice and instructions from the State of Texas is attached.
