I did the minimum install but you might want to also install the full version of adobe acrobat that comes with the scanner.
During the install you will be prompted for:
Make sure you are not using the quick menu – uncheck it and double click on the S for scansnap manager and then make the following changes in the scansnap Manager.
In Scan Snap manager, the settings for the jpegger documents will be:
**This is in the file name format option
I set the file naming convention to YYYYMMDDhhmmss
If you are running version 2 of jpegger, you can scan to pdf (recommended)
scanning – set color mode B&W
file options – change to pdf
If you are running version 1 of jpegger, you must scan to jpg scanning
In the jpegger service on the server, go into options. Add a camera, configure it as a directory and enter the same directory name used in Scan Snap manager.
To configure the scanner in Scrap Dragon, go to back office; maintenance; setup; local computer options; imaging; enter the camera name as the ‘documents’ (formerly license) camera. That concludes the setup & configuration.
The process is simple. Insert the documents face down in the scanner, press the scan button on the scanner. When the scanning is done, go into Scrap Dragon and press Save Scans. The ‘Save Scans’ option is available in 1. Scrap Buying, Ticket Info, 2. Auto Add to Inventory (VIN entry), 3. Pay ticket by number and 4. Pay tickets by number.
